As Black Knight (Deep Purple fan?) said Rufforth is just west of York on the B1224. It's a bit late for me to phone Ian....shall i?? ;D so it would seem that the w'end 1st to the 4th of May stands. for hook up we need to be on the hard standing nearer the pavilion so not sure but one of us will let you know soon. I'll be going..& the beastie will be towing ;D ::) a van i haven't even bought yet but can live without hook up as showers etc. are inc. There will be some generators , barbies etc & caravan members last year did fine without hookup.
I'll try & talk to Ian tomorrow & one of us will post more info. Local shop open Sun morning & a cracking boot fair/market to walk off the previous night's excesses then back for brekky & hot drinks!!!

Possible generator charge or can be charged in pavillion kitchen behind locked door so safe (unless Ian nicks it)
Joking aside i'm bringing my lappy too (for some lessons) so should be fine. Guy. :y

Hookups are available, but the costs will be more, and your caravan wont be on the 'oof' section! ;)

There will be 240v available anyways throughout the day and evenings - I will be taking batterys + inverters + genny with me!  :y
(PS: Anyone that has a car battery that works, and is spare, bring it  :P The more the better!) :y

Be aware, if you are running a lappy of a genny, the genny must have a decent regulator on it to even out the genny's power and stop spikes.

Plan was to use a 3kw inverter (hence the need for car batteries) for 240v, however the power still won’t be as smooth as 'proper' mains! I can then build a smaller generator which will charge up the car batteries! ;D (Will help keep the noise down too as the engine speed can be controlled by the power needed to charge the batteries - ie little load it will be ticking over, and at full load, it will be running at 3600rpm!) 8-)

Probably not worth the effort - I think every camper can live without leccy for a weekend, esp as there is leccy available inside for emergency phone charging etc.

Phoned Ian earlier But a lovely polite well spoken lady answered & told me he'd gone out (how irresponsible?) so i'm guessing the meet is going ahead as booked :y
