The Americans have[apparently on direct order from the president]killed the top general-said to have been second only to the Ayatollah-of Iran.The strike took place in Baghdad and is claimed to have been a "defensive measure" on the part of the Americans.Question now is what will the Iranians do in retaliation? I can't see them just settling for sending a nasty letter to the White House.

I'm rather glad tomorrow's trip to Shanghai is on Emirates, I wouldn't fancy being on a US carrier crossing that part of the world just now.
