LPG FILLER ISSUES
« on: 05 March 2013, 20:53:56 »

 Hi guys

well wonder if you guys can advise me further.

Fault:
i have notice that over the last month that after filling the car up with gas when i release the nosel the amount of gas that escapes ( pressure release) has increase to the point i burnt my hand today  :'( didnt move it out the way fast enough and it was bad enough to splash on my trousers.

now before you ask i have tried several different garages and different pumps to to ensure it not the garage side. ut im sure its the car.

hubby seams to think there is a seal in the filler point im not sure i did have a look at it while stuck in cornwall this week and lubed it but thats all due to no tools

is there a seal or do i need to replace the conection? can i get spares

thanks for reading guys  :-*

Thats some release pressure if its splashing on trousers  :o

What size is the tank & how many litres are you putting in? Tank rotated to right position?  :-\

There is a seal in the filler itself. Probably as well to replace entire filler - should be easy, and probably about £25

Marie, you say you are down in Cornwall at the moment,if you are down in the Helston, Falmouth area there is a garage called Autogas at Longdowns who are LPG installers,I can't vouch for there work but they should be able to source you the parts you need to fix it yourself if need be :y

Yep, guessing the gas in the filler line is escaping, and there should be a valve in the filler to prevent that. As said, just replace the filler. :y
