And i think as ive got water coming in on the door sill from somewhere, as cloths in the drivers door left overnight when raining in the bottom side pocket they are always wet.So that could be the drivers door liner inside the door so ive been told.maybe its the drivers side door light inside. Will check :y

Yep that weather was harsh, will try and recreate that fault again during the day and locate in the main fuse box what is buzzing.it could be water ingress.Does the main light selector on the drivers side just pull out.

Hello again everyone, just noticed today the dash illumination dimmer wheel was slightly less then on full which is causing a buzzing noise from the under the steering wheel fusebox. When i turned it on to full again the noise disappeared. It also has like the lights on warning on removing the key but these must be connected.Lights all function correctly on the main switch.Any ideas Many Thanks Gavin :y

Well done mate i think ive checked them a month ago but,on my toyota the scuttle got blocked blew the ecu unit. The cloths were absolutely soaking as they were just left in the drivers door pocket near the speaker.Just wondered do the door seals had a habit of leaking from above in this area as they were dry the day before.

Hi everyone and a merry xmas to you all.Inside the 2001 mv6 i noticed that 2 cloths i left in the drivers side door panel were soaking wet after all that rain we've had and also it mists up inside the car real bad and doesnt clear in the morning very well.Is its the door seal if so is it the fixed one to the body of the door seal i need to change.I found a new gm door seal weather strip on ebay (90459562) C WEATHERSTRIP, FRONT DOOR, RH is this what is needed.Any ideas Many thanks gavin. :y

« on: 24 November 2020, 17:13:25 »
Hello everybody the cars doing good, suspension and wishbones sorted but now ive got a buzzing sound coming from the passenger door card. When the heating fan is turned above 3 bars this buzzing sound kicks in from inside the door card.Is it the door solenoid. When locking the car with the key that door locks and unlocks but when locking with the door pin it locks but on unlocking it does not trigger the other doors.Any ideas would be greatful, Many thanks Gavin. :y

Omega General Help / Re: MV6 Center tie rod and steering idler
« on: 03 November 2020, 20:56:33 »
;D lol I will just measure it.Looked under there today i think steering idler is the 110mm one.Tie rods look a bit tired but on a long drive today no wheel wobble.Maybe its the tyre as the day before i checked all the tyre pressures. Will get the tyre checked over at a good little local place he said he can check the alloy as well. Got sticky stuff on the passenger door card and on some buttons does it just need cleaning off. Many Thanks gavin :y

Omega General Help / MV6 Center tie rod and steering idler
« on: 31 October 2020, 20:07:32 »
Hi everyone hope all is well with you. Have finished front suspension struts which have been changed plus drop links and wishbones done. The tie rods and steering idler needs replacing but while im there i am going to replace the centre tie rod as well. There are two sizes, one is 605 in the length from febi and the other is 715 from delphi, which is the right one. Also is the steering idler 110mm in length its from febi. Are any of the mv6 parts different as its a 2001 2.6 v6 mv6. Many thanks  :y

Thanks for that i know that geometry on the omegas can be really tricky for some places to set up, so wheels in motion might be the only place to take it for it to be done correctly. Thanks for all the info, good to see that some bits can be sourced from the monaro etc. :y
