Called Vauxhall Stealer for cost on the GM Front Brake disc kit - £225 !!!

AutoDoc has decent range and can get set of standard Coated vented Brembo and pads for about half the cost (same cost as oiled Bosch ones which was other option).

I'll probably get a set of the Brembo ones but interested to hear if anybody has any makes to avoid ? :o.  I believe coated ones just throw on, rather than oiled ones which need a scrub with the ole De-greaser. :D

Just want decent set of good quality - not looking to do a lap of the Nürburgring !, and the GM ones have always been fine.

Andy.

If its the 2.6 and Facelift I assume its Fly by wire (as opposed to older cable cruise control on my 2.5 pre-facelift).

Could have been a electrical gremlin switching it off ? or iffy brake pedal switch which also turns off cruise when brakes pressed ?

Just a thought.

Andy,

Pay in Kiosk, Pay at Pump, this all sounds very complicated. In our neighbouring village garage we still have a man/woman that comes out and fills up for you. Their fuel is always cheaper than anywhere else as well.
How old school is that.  :y

Do they sell 2 and 3 star fuel and Paraffin :D ;D as well

They do sell paraffin, but no 2 or 3 star.  ;D :y  Also, no two stroke mix shot pump anymore,  ;D
just modern pumps with the polite personal service and a friendly chat. Quite cute really, and nostalgic for those of us that remember the forecourt staff.  :y

Indeed  :y  In today's world it's nice to hear there are some fantastic places about with friendly service.   :'(

Final got around to fitting new front pads, and cleaning and greasing them slider pins and all other bits (I have enough grease left  :D)

Also applied a bit of rust treatment on some noticeable bits. Hopefully its slowed things down a bit.

Time for a beer  :)

Happy weekend all. :y
