Used to vaguely know his nephew who rallied a MK1 Escrot in the 70,s. Didnt really inherit the talent though.
They really should have been called escrots, escort sounds a bit dodgy  ;D

I was at a Clapton gig at the Albert hall in 1990, and he bumped into me as I was walking into the bar as he was hurrying out.
He was  very apologetic, which was nice. Often find with showbiz types the "get out of my way Im more important than you type of attitude".
