Not much to be said to that TG :-X

Rather than bleating about it, next time complain to the company concerned, note his badge and plate number and their response and write to the licencing officer at the council.

But first, ask yourself this... How many times a day can you tolerate being asked the following questions:

1. Been busy?
2. How much do you earn?
3. Where are you from?
4. Are you some kind of ...t?
5. In response to which way would you like to go... Fastest and cheapest.(these are usually mutually exclusive)
6. That's a king rip off I'm not paying that... Used to get that alot just from putting the meter on, closely followed by 4.
7. What you going this way for?  uh because it's the shortest, and therefore cheapest route...
8. if I wanted your help, I'd have king well asked for it

I would consider myself to be a reasonably tolerant person, but even I struggled to bite my tongue at times :-\

This brings back memories, I was a cabbie for 10 years, I really didnt want to go to work some nights but always went, you shouldnt have to go to work wondering if this is the night you get stabbed for your takings or just assaulted for no reason other than some t**t takes a dislike to you, I dont miss it.

Not likely to be the stat ! crikey glad I posted thought it was 99%, I'm just looking at the HBV removal guide, http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90574.0 it's up under the scuttle then, bit awkward to get to by the look of it, but the vaccum pipe I need to disconnect is the one arrowed in the pic.

Omega General Help / Thermostat gone ? HBV ?
« on: 04 December 2012, 19:04:18 »
Hi chaps, my Mig has been taking 30-40 minutes to get any heat going, the temp gauge is the same as it always is at 85-90 iirc, I assume it's the stat but have seen some people mentioning HBV, any advice welcome.

General Car Chat / Re: Favourite car you've owned
« on: 17 February 2012, 22:03:01 »
I think my favorite would be the Peugeot 604 I had in 87/88 2.7 v6 a bit worse consumption than my Mig but fuel was a dam site cheaper back then, another car I loved was my Datsun 180B triple S the gears were in a strange place, first is about where 2nd normaly is 2nd where 3rd is and so on, lovely looking dash i seem to recall.

Thats a nice Mig for 500 quid, I bought mine from Ebay and couldnt have been happier, had it just over a year now and got another years ticket at the end of December, I will definitly buy another one from ebay as long as it's not too far from me, I had about a 100 mile round trip when I picked mine up.

Omega General Help / Re: What do you think ?
« on: 06 February 2012, 20:20:40 »
Knowing that its vunerable to "running water" from the scuttle I've "adapted" a moisture resistant ceiling tile to slide in above it now.

Looks odd but as long as it prevents water to getting to it...job done.

Sounds good  :y I sealed mine up with sillicone and denso tape.

Omega General Help / Re: Locked Out
« on: 27 January 2012, 17:53:31 »
The key doesn't work in the door. Not sure if the lock's been changed at some point or just seized from lack of use. I'll try re synching it tomorrow. For now I'll just leave it unlocked...  ???

I cant get into mine by putting the key in the door either, it just wont budge, I carry a spare fob battery in my wallet just in case.
