Omega General Help / Egr, SAI and Mot quick question!

Hi, i have the good old mot at the end of november. Just a quick question, do the egr and sai valves need connection for the emission test, i've had them by passed due to fitting 2.6 manifolds the car runs fine etc no problems but i know how strict the emissions test can be, regards alex

Hi a know this question may have been asked a few times but which is the best cam locking kit for the 3.0 v6. I've seen sealey ones for around £80-£90 but i've heard that certain kits arn't always that accurate?!

Omega General Help / Diff drive shaft oil seals

Hi, just checked under my car to find that there seems to be a small amount of diff oil around where the drive shaft goes into to diff.
Its only the one side (driver side), definatly think the seals on its way out, is it a tricky job to change it, think i may aswell do the other side too just to be on the safe side.
Its a 3.0 ('96) manual with limited slip diff anything special i should know before i get stuck in?! regards alex

Omega General Help / Power steering pump on 3.0 V6

Hi hope someone can help! The power steering pump on my v6 is wining alot, not loosing fluid or feeling heavy but i thinks its on its way out, possibly just worn.
Is it a hard job replacing the power steering pump and bleeding to fluid once fitted? any help would be great! regards alex

Hi ive had car around 2 years and always the air condtioning system has always worked i'e compressor kicks-in, engine revs slighty higher and all fans turn on, tried a few times the other day turning eco button on/off but compressor just not working nor engine fans or revs change, checked fuses and relays could it be the pump its self? info would be great regards, alex

Hi all! First of all great site very practical, useful and from what i've read friendly too! I have a 1996 Omega 3.0 V6 Elite which i've had for around 2 years now and still going strong! I'm trying to upload the pics of it (big bob!) but could do with a little help anyone? on the attach pic part not too sure about the whole http thing what to do nxt? Its had a full engine overhaul work all done by Courtney Sport, great place for any vaux! its running around 260bhp has gas flowed heads, Courtney sport cams light flywheel uprated clutch, uprated fuel pressure, magnecore leads ngk plugs remap induction kit, sports cats, lowered 30mm on weitec shocks/springs, 60mm racing exhaust..pretty good fun! Thought it would b a good project due to being a manual. Its only my second car 1st was an astra mk11 LXi estate once again great but kept being stolen not good! Any way most work i,ve done myself to the car and done a few track days especially Donnington although dont recomend in the wet! Hope i can be of use to anyone who may want to modify their own and likewise i may need help too anyway take care for now!

Heres me with my uncle in his alfa 3.2v6 GTA and my brother with his Monaro VXR 6.0 V8 with Wortec super charger its running at 615bhp!! I belive the Monaro does have an omega chassis so something in common!

i no its not an omega but it is a vauxhall! my fiance felt a bit left out so heres her pride and joy its a corsa 1.3 (04) cdti with a K&N induction kit belive me for a 1.3 its nippy!
