I'm pissed because the front tyres have only covered about 3000 miles......and only have 250 BHP going through them.

I may contact Goodyear and see if they will make a contribution.

In depot they they wanted £520.0nline the same tyres came to £298.

Michelin PS 4S on the front of my XFR came to £350. They were 255/35/20.

The rears where larger 285/30/20 and were about £530 for a pair of the same.


So about £880 in total.

I'm currently running Goodyear Eagles but this is the third set I've had that have split in the tread grooves.

This was what I posted in 2018 regarding Goodyear Eagles splitting. I'll try to dig out the photo so that others can see the amount of tread left compared to the split. It's a shame as I liked them as a tyre.

All well and good, but the price for the replacement is likely to have increased proportionately, so really I doubt he will have really benefitted financially from the deal.

On my last MOT, I got an advisory for small cracks at the very edges of the tread. The tester told me that lots of tyres were cracking slightly now, as the manufacturers have been told to make the compound more environmentally friendly.
