Don't forget that all 10w/40 semi synthetic oils are not the same - the API S* primarily for petrol engines ratings varies between oils of the same viscosity. Engine oil for diesel engines has C** rating. Gear oil has GL ratings.
I would use oil in the Omega of the same API S* category / rating as GM's own 10w/40, which is SL from memory.

Surely the 2.2 doesn't have a sump plug washer? Most VX's have a sump plug with a bonded in O ring
Sure it's available separately.

Didnt realise VX Oil filters were costing that much these days, I used to have a trade club card and thinking back am sure I saw filters at £1.59 or £1.89

Is the trade clun card still available.?
Have you actually asked your local Vauxhall dealer?

Although if you have the filters in stock, why the question  ???

API SN/SM/CF (ACEA A3/B4) so exceeds API SL specs clicky

clicky 20L Mannol Classic 10W40 Engine Oil Semi-Synthetic £41.39 with Delivery (FedEx Next Day)

4 x 5 L bottles from HalFRAUDS would cost £127.96  :o

so the Mannol is a third the price and includes delivery to your door  :y

https://www.arnoldclarkautoparts.com/products/gm-vauxhall-10w-40-semi-synthetic-engine-oil-5l-95599582

https://www.autovaux.co.uk/95599582-5-litre-semi-synthetic-10w40-oil-gm95599582

Both out of stock - I can see why at those prices

Double the price of the oil in my link  :o and they don't have any anyway ,and are unlikely too ever again ;D

2020 i was paying £25 for 20L

though £42 for 20 L isn't bad compared to some "shops"  :D

When I went for my MOT I asked how much to do an oil change.  A conversation started about the cost of oils.  His and his wifes cars are both Mercs and he used to pay £30 a gallon for the oil he uses (Synthetic) same oil he is now paying £57 a gallon.

He suggested I get my own oil and filter, bring the car in and he would sort it for £30 (cash) . :-\
