I have no problems at all communicating with Serek. Me - " can I do anything to help ?" Serek - "yes, you make tea."

no offence or critisism of anyone intended and if the owner is happy with the price and whoever ends up doin the job then all is fine.
im out of touch with garage charges these days as i do all my own work just thought it seemed excessive for an hour or so job and a pair of gaskets .

That the trouble these days. It seems loads of these call centres cover a huge massive area and a wide range of makes and it's not easy to speak to a particular dealer's service dept .... it's nigh on impossible to get passed the dolly bird on the service desk and speak to the tech directly.

Hence the advice to always walk in and talk to someone.

Too true :y :y

I have, over many years, always got to know the staff in the main dealers I have dealt with on an almost personal basis.  It has given me so many advantages and, usually, a great level of service.  I get what I set out to.

Doing all the booking and following up online just does not get the same results.  In those cases you are just a number, not a living, breathing, valued Customer :(

it also allows you to point at the picture on the screen so you get what you described, not what the counter bloke thought you meant.

IPCs aren't difficult to use, but sometimes you need a bit of imagination to find stuff. Unfortunately, this tends to be lacking :-X
