General Discussion Area / Newent and Future Meets
« on: 15 July 2012, 22:09:54 »
I am asking here for other people opinions.

What I am thinking is if the Yearly Meets (Lakes & Newent) were both Social Meets. Then have a "Cambelt Party" like we have had in pasted years specifically for working on cars. We will need too put Our heads together to find a location or locations for these Parties though...

This years Lakes Meet I had ideas about trying something different other than working on cars. Most of us take our Wives, Partners & Children who may prefer to attend the meets spending sometime together as a family, instead of apart. I mean for example: Husband/Dad working all day on peoples cars, and not spending the day with his Wife & Family when at such lovely areas as The Lake District or Newent, when there are so many things we could all do together as a Club at these places.

Now I know the weather at The Lakes Meet this year stopped alot of us from attending, but the members that did attend enjoyed trying something different. Geocaching for one, which really is like a treasure hunt and great fun.

A few ideas

General Discussion Area / Newent Meet - 2012
« on: 09 July 2012, 16:32:32 »
Is less than 8 weeks to go.... :o

I do have a few cheque deposits for this Meet  :y still plenty of places left though :)

A separate thread "The Confirmed List" will be updated by myself as I have done in the passed when I recieve members deposits.

Whilst I realise the weather could have stopped people from attending The Lakes, I do feel that not having a "Confirmed List" did not help, as no one really knew who was attending if anyone!..

Maybe that could have been down to me, in which case it won't be happening again..

Newent is a Lovely family site which will be our 6th yearly Meet there, which speaks for itself. Plenty of other things to do in that area if sitting at the site does not appeal to you :y

Can anyone help him who lives close? He thinks the auxbelt pulley has seized damaging the auxbelt. He says it has not broke through the cambelt cover but is stuck around the Crank Pulley.
I would go myself but its 120 odd miles to do his auxbelt. That said if no-one closer can help I will go tomorrow night.

General Discussion Area / Does Mike Dundee deserve punishment?
« on: 15 June 2012, 15:03:10 »
Our poor daughter is in termoil. I will explain why...
The ex friend of mine Countess Dundee, phoned whilst I was on my mobile. So Miss. Loo-knee informs me that my Dad, Hotel21 had phoned but sounded upset and not his usual self. So worried I rung him to find I have woken the Ugly,Hairy Arsed Buggar, who had taken an early night to catch up on some needed beauty sleep....  I am certain you can imagine his responce :-[
I questioned the Mad Troublesome Scotsman about this the following day who admitted, I quote;  "Putting on a Posh Scots Accent too misslead your daughter."

So Hotel21 as you can see by this evidence it was all Countesses fault.....I actually think he should be beheaded but thought it perhaps more fair to pass the vote over to you, and more trust worthy Forum Members than Mike..

Around 30th June I am coming up to the Hartlepool area to do a members Cambelt etc.. If anyone up that way is interested in having theirs done give me a shout.
I would split the fuel costs between you which would then be cheaper for all.

Cheers
