Title: cheap sim card

can anyone recommend a cheap sim card to put in my mig built in phone?  i want one that i can put in there and leave in, and will hardly ever use to make calls.   so ideally one with no fixed monthly cost. payg?

You haven't mentioned what HU you have, guessing its a NCDC if its for your 2.6, if thats the case, you are limited to GSM only, so Vodafone or O2 (or variants of) will only work.

If its the rarer Double Din Phillips then all Sims should work (GSM and PCN).

If your not going to use it then PAYG, Free Online for Most Networks, cant get much cheaper than that.

Don`t some PAYG cards auto expire if they are not used ?

Yes, if there not Network logged on within any 6 month period.

Normally having the Sim actively in the Phone or receiving a Call during this period normally sorts it out. Some Networks insist that a Chargeable Call or Text needs to made during any 6 month period.

If your Sim does fall off due to non activity after 6+ months, normally a quick call to the Network gets it re activated and should include any Credit you had on the on the Sim.

It normally takes another 6 months on top of the no activity period for the Sim Mobile Number to go back i the Pool for re allocation, then your Sim becomes a dead duck.  ;)
