Road trip 27/02/10

Just to let you all know there is going to be a road trip to Hayling Island on the 27/02/10, If anyone wishes to come along your ore than welcome too.

If your looking at Portsmouth and you have wet feet, its just to the right, used to go their a lot as a kid, my aunt han a static caravan down their but not been for about 30 years or more.

Its a corner of the Uk which is simply stunning.  Its part of Chichester/Langstone harbours with amazing views, excellent walks and lots of wildlife inc a very healthy seal population.

Anynews on the location?  I would like to start my sailing plan as I have to factor in tides, weather etc...

Obviously a rocky shoreline will prevent me from landing and sharing a brew..... ::)

I think it's be best to meet at one of the sea view car parks before deciding on the rest-
head towards PO11 0, A3023 till the end of Beach Road. It's the  Funland Amusement Park

There's lots of room to park and right on the water if anyone fancies a refreshing dip  ::)

That looks a bit exposed if the weather is bad, so I might not get round to then.  Currently it looks like a lee shore which isn't nice to land on, esp if the breakers are high.  So you might see me you might not  :-/

When summer comes we do longer trips, the local ones are just to stay in touch monthly normaly.

Unfortunatly as much as I wanted to be there and belive me I did, I have caught the neruo virus and curently spending time in the hospital.

Oh you make me wish I had braved the cold now, I could have got to Portsdown hill in about 20 minutes. Still the cold does not do my aching joints much good I am afraid.

Does the burger bar on the hill still do good food ?  :y
