Got another leak , suspect the top hose , as it's on that side at the front , pooling in cross member thingy under front of pulley area , seems to be done moisture under hose around the loom there .
Need fast posting ;)
Don't want to pull the thing off to inspect without another to hand to replace with !

A new one is about £25 from Vauxhall. At that price, it isn't worth messing about with secondhand.
-
You'd think so , but Oof members are usually quicker than bellenders our local vx stealer
-
Might also be the aux pump leaking, and draining down the side of the rad :-\
-
Could be , trying to find it this morning while cold , no joy , but base of aux pump suspiciously darker and more corroded
-
Joshs was leaking, and at a glance looked like the rad had cracked by the smaller tophose spigot...
On closer inspection the rad was dry above the pump, but the coolant was running off the pump, and going everywhere within dripping distance ::) If your aux pump below the coolant tank is dry, swapping them over is a free and easy way to rule it out :y

Just to add, the pumps seem to fail at the gasket where the cap and body join...

Cheers….. best get one.,…
ANYONE GOT AN AUX PUMP ??????
and indeed all relevant hoses for a a job lot ?
-
Should have a spare one on the driverside inner wing down from the coolant tank :y
-
errr, so how do these things work ?
surely if i just swap them over, the leak will just move from one side of the car to the other ?

Not necessarily :y the one on the drivers side wing only runs when you use the heater with the engine off, so if it's only leaking when the pump runs, then that shouldn't be an issue... also you can simply join the two pipes together, either at the pump end or at the heater bridge end :y
There might even be a pipe available from Vauxhall for that very purpose... over to our man in Brissol :y
