Depends if he wants us all there at one time  LLOOL

Everyone could do something , even if it was polishing the car whilst the experts fix the engine, it would be like " pimp my ride, in Milton Keynes "  ahahahhahahaha hehehhehehe

Another sign of throttle body wanting to be clean out is seeing oily deposits around the air intake to throttle body joint , its usually the little breather hole in the body that blocked, just use Auto Addicts excellent how-to and you wont go wrong  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Exhaust Manifold Gasket
« on: 02 May 2007, 16:52:57 »
By far the easiet way of locating the centre of the stud is to have a machine shop , or a friend who is a machinist, make up or turn a metal dowl / pin that fits snuggly into the bolt hole in the manifold !
Have a 2 or 3mm hole machined down the centre of this dowl/pin .

Leave manifold in situ, place dowl/pin in manfold bolt hole ( obviously over the broken stud/studs) and drill down centre of pin/dowl with pilot drill.

When all broken studs are piloted remove manifold and hey presto broken studs with exact centred pilot holes  :)

As already WARNED , dint drill too deeply or you may strike oil  :D
Measure a new stud to estimate the depth of the broken stud in head ! You can then mark the drill being used with tipex or similar with the stud depth !

Sorry i havent been round lately on this board, Omega is running like a dream, NOTHING going wrong for ages now  ;D

Think you will find there are NO pattern exhausts for the 2.2.
However you can get bloody good pattern Cats for the 2.2 .

What some people do is fit a 2.0 system to the 2.2 but i am told they sound awful, as they only have one central silencer and yes you can buy pattern 2.0 exhausts

I was going to suggest oil pressure switch but arent the V6's prseeure switch located on the front of the engine and NOT behind the oil pump like the 4 pots !

I had exactly the same problem, just lower engine getting wet, but owning a 2.2 - 4 pot it was the oil switch !

Omega General Help / Re: Tappety Tap...

Apart from the oil change procedures described i wouldnt worry TOO much about a little top end rattle when cold !

As far as i am aware, all or most of the VX 4 pots can be slightly rattley when cold, but should settle down quite quickly !

Mine is not rattly at all when started , but does have the slightest tap when pulling off first thing in the morning ! This completly dissapears within a 100 yards or so !

DONT be scared of pulling out of a deal via EBay !

I think you will find NOTHING IS LEGALLY BINDING about placing a bid !

Not the nicest of things to do after having bid on an article, BUT its your dosh at the end of the day , bugger supposed EBay rules !

If seller threatens you for pulling out, tell him to go boil his head !
