MV6 LPG Problem
« on: 17 July 2015, 15:37:02 »

Hi guys and I am hoping someone on here could shed a bit of light on my problem. I own a 2.6 2002 lpg conversion. I started to get the COOLANT LEVEL problem. I removed the expansion tank to get at the sensor, realised i needed a new tank so ordered one from VX. BUT after replacing the tank, she has started to run like a pig. Read the codes and have 3 cylinders misfiring. Not too bad I thought as I must have dislodged or unplugged something. All looks OK EXCEPT I have a small two pin plug (Similar to the sensor plug from the expansion tank) not plugged in and two pipes that run from the vapouriser, one goes off to the rear of the engine and a faily short one, about 5 inch, goes nowhere. I cannot see where this one is meant to go. Any help gratefully excepted. Pics available if required. Cheers all...

Sounds like it might be a vacuum pipe from the intake manifold.

The vapouriser will have the following plumbing connections, typically:

Coolant in
Coolant out
Liquid LPG in - about 8mm diamater, from LPG tank
Vapour LPG out - probably 20-25mm diamater, to the LPG filter (may have 2 of these)
Vacuum reference - from intake manifold. Normally a rubber hose of about 8mm diameter.

The little box has the 2 pipes and a wire loom only. One of these is not connected, but only about 4 to 5 " long. Not sure how to add pictures to show you better

The BRC system only changes from petrol to LPG once the lpg manifold pressure has built up .. unlike other systems that work on time .. that looks to me like the manifold pressure gauge ..

This is mine ... one electrical connection and one gas pipe that loops around and connects to the drivers bank manifold so it can sense manifold pressure

OOPS pictures a tad large !!
