Blind Faith was another concert before the Stones on another date. Brian Jones died two days before the concert but they decided to carry on as a memorial to Brian and that was when they had to pull in Mick Taylor. Mick J read a poem for Brian by Shelley and released thousands of butterflies.

I was at the Stones concert in Hyde park on the 5th July 1969! (showing off my age now!)
Sat on my arse for over 8 hours and there was no way you could leave otherwise you could not get back to where you were sitting.
I am just behind the black geyzer gyrating around in the crowd if you look at the very grainy video of "Stones in the park"
Ended up sleeping in the Roundhouse theatre under the bar and did a runner in the morning. Also jumped the barrier at the nearest tube station to get back to south Londun where I was living at the time.
Great day though!!

If any of you guys had/will be bothered to read up on the whole affair on the miners and you will find that it was not MT that closed the most mines! it was a Harold Wilson???. I was in Port Talbot during the worst of it after coming back from South Africa. I will always remember talking to a few union leaders in the hotel I was staying in and meeting one of the many union guys there. One of them said to me quote "do you know what NCB means?" Yes, I said, nope he uttered its "No C*NT BOTHERS" I changed my whole outlook on the miners and unions after that.

I have just been watching a UK commercial channel here in Mallorca and Mr Kipling has always made exceedingly good cakes but I notice he has changed colour!! AND he looks like a black santa. Well, I can't remember him being like that when I was kid. I weep, I really do!

Saw her in Wimbledon around 1980 I'd stopped at the lights & she crossed in front of me , absolutely stunning back then.

Yea Rangie, I saw the both of them when we did "a round with Henry Cooper" a charity fun run at the white city stadium in 1981. They were running just in front of us. She had a lovely arris! and long thick red hair.

Sorry guys, but I have not been on here for a while as I am in Mallorca at the moment. Update: As stated the car needs an MOT and you will need a trailer or similar to get it where it wants to go. There is no dings anywhere at all but the bonnet needs a respray. Other than that no visible damage. If I could weld which I can but, rheumatism has taken over. This would be a good project for a DIY'er as I was. Anyway, that is the situation! back to Aviemore on the 24th May if anybody is interested otherwise she will go to WBAC.com or the scrapyard.  :'( :'(

Went into a BP!! garage on Wednesday here in Mallorca and got charged €1.88 per litre. BUT I got back €2.88 from the gobierno as a discount paid by them. Can you see the UK government doing that? Don't think so!

Well! if anybody has read my inputs from years ago, they will recognize my thoughts on the BBC. The first letter does not mean British in my eyes anymore and has not been for many many years. Caca de Toro? it's not that either! but the BBC is full of that as well. IF we all carry on saying nothing then the inevitable will happen. No need to draw a picture! ITV adverts are a good guide to what will happen and I do not mean the crap they are trying to sell us!! Or is it??? BBC rant over!!
