Won’t be long before someone says good Omegas will command high prices. Oops I just have!

When everyone is driving economical, ele tric cars that are speed governed, old luxurious gas guzzlers will be highly sought after. The only problem might be living long enough to see it happen. Our children will though.

They will. Just like a good PC Cresta already does. Apparently, there are about 40 left, and a fair proportion of them can't be good. Usually at this point, such things are barely cars.

As always, just because something is rare doesn't mean it's desirable. And if it isn't desirable, it can't be valuable.

I’d love to see a spoof auctioneer run this through auction.

So, we have before us a really old Ford Escort MK1. Not a particularly desirable car when new so it will feel really dated now. But, hold on, this is not an ordinary Escort MK1. This is an RS, a BDA/AVO model, which means nothing other than you’ll pay more for it than a meagre GT.
Not only is it an RS, it’s a very recently resprayed RS, so you can’t see what’s lurking underneath. The front indicators should have been removed for the respray but the seller decided to hand paint around them in case the rust behind them made it difficult to get them back in.
Right then folks, it’s your money to spend so let the bidding commence. Shall we start at a sensible £1K, do I hear £1.5K.

My fun car is a 2020 Bmw F32 430d M Sport with indicators.
My cruiser is an Audi A6 Avant S Line Black Edition with indicators.

I bet my magnificent Morris Marina 1800TC Coupe finished in BL Mustard with a classy thick black stripe down the bonnet would be worth a pretty penny now!  :)

It would be worth its 'weigh in weight'..... :)

A garage in Kelvedon has a nice looking MK2 Escort in their showroom for £16,000. Seems a bargain by comparison.

You need to think in 30+ year cycles, the people buying those at them prices were 18-20 year olds, they are now 50+ and have the money to buy their dream cars,
The question is what's going to be worth the money in 30-40 years from now.. It won't be anything with a battery in..It will be the Performance versions, from the manufacturers, GR Toyota, the Big AMGs, BMW,,M, etc and of course Signums.

How will they start without a battery?
