Omega Electrical and Audio Help / bulbs not working!!HELP PLEASE!!

hello i changed a bulb in my heated passenger seat switch and plugged it back in and smoke started coming from the back of my headlight switch and since then none of the lights work now when i switch the headlights on(heated seats,ac,etc...speedo lights)but yet the handbrake,green headlight light,flasher(full beam)illuminate as they should ::)i've checked all the fuses and not one of them have blown!!
can anyone help me please??
so basically all the illumination thats switched on at night do not work

Hello in my new first omega 99 vreg it has got a cassette player (standard) works with steering wheel control,but i would like to get a cd player that is compatible with steering controls!!
would any vauxhall cd player that has steering control connection work?? ie vectra cdr500???

i am just adding leather interior to my v reg v6 and have had to add heated seat switches but my car had a double dummy switch from the left side of the switch panel so have put heated switch in starting from left,then i have got a blank space!!can anyone tell me what switch is meant to go next please and so on!!!

Omega General Help / help!!please after some advice about getting a mig

Looking for advice please
been offered a fully specced elite 3.0 for £450
149,000 miles but a shed load of history
car runs like a dream and for a car thats not been ran for 3 weeks started with no fuss taps or knocks and revs sweet with no smoke or steam
my concern is under oil car and on filler next its thick of mayo
i know vauxhalls suffer with mayo in the cap due to short runs etc but i am concerned
any way i can tell if its going to need a gasket
does not seem to pressure up but i only left it ticking over 15 minutes or so

Omega General Help / Help needed please to sort my mig out please read!

After deciding to keep my mig i would love to get it fixed and due to me being absolutely crap with cars/tools and knowledge could anyone help me please  

my front brake discs are warped and judder when stopping so i have got a set of mintex pad/discs to replace them

the car has a water leak from the rear passenger side of the engine i think as when i pull up at lights now and again smoke comes from the left side and when i pull up on the drive you can here it dripping and when i move the car its dripped on the left side although it never leaks empty ::)only seems to go down to the check level sensor :-/

And it has now developed thick mayo on the oil cap and on the oil filler neck,none on the dipstick at all or in the water and since this problem started,when the car reaches temperature inside the car stinks of burnt oil :'(the car never overheats though

And finally what can i do about the drivers door as it has snapped

could someone help me please as i love my mig,and just want to get it sorted

i have just bought some nice alloys for the car and i am picking them up sometime this week/weekend from Nottingham so i don't suppose there is anyone around that area that will help me

Hello i am after some help please ::)i was driving my omega last night and all of a sudden a loud knocking sound started coming from the car,so i opened the bonnet and it appears to be coming from behind the cambelt casing at the top as you can feel it vibrating like hell :oi was 10miles from home on a dual carriageway at 7pm so i risked driving it home(as i had the kids with me) but it seemed fine,just the terrible sound!! Any ideas please???

Omega General Help / HELP please eml on after cam gasket change

Hello everyone i changed my camcover gaskets yesterday(followed the how too  ) but when i started the car after reassembling,the eml light is on so i have just done the paperclip test and the only code i am getting is 1-2 7-4-1-2-7-4 so i checked the eml list and it says 74   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High
can you help please as it running like a bag of nails now
any ideas please??how do i rectify this??have i put something back wrong
please HELP!!

Omega General Help / middle plug well full of oil(advice please)

my v6 mini-facelift has been running bad for about 2 weeks now,missing,using alot of fuel,so i thought that it could of been the leads/spark plugs so i asked for advice about whether to buy some and some of you fellow oofers told me not to bother buying any until i checked the plug wells for oil!!!well i did today and only the middle one one the drivers side was full of oil so after poking around on the forum alot of people have said that it could be caused by a breather blockage or the cam cover gasket so i was wondering what i should do please? ::)change the gasket first or try cleaning the breathers or do both :-/

Omega General Help / 2.5 v6 running rough

as above my car feels like one of the plug leads have gone when driving it holds back then it'll clear,then rough etc....and as for the fuel :-Xits knecking it >:(but opened the bonnet and there is quite a loud hissing,airy noise coming from what sounds like the back of the engine ::)so could it possibly be an air leak???,spark plug???any ideas please??if so could you point me to the how too's if availiable

Over the last week or so the check oil level pops up every now and again so i have checked the oil at least 3 times and on the dipstick,it looks fine its in between full and empty closer to full really!!could i have a fault sensor ::)any advice please

as above:my missus has just noticed that the back passenger door trim keeps getting caught when she opens the door,
how hard are these to replace and where can i get them from??scrap yard??and i also need a drivers side rear bumper chrome trim(i have seen the how too for this and i'm just wondering where i can get this from aswell please

Omega General Help / coolant problem

i drove today for about 30miles and the check coolant level display come up so i opened the bonnet and the water was lowish but not really low so as i tryed to fill it up,it filled up again when i unscrewed the cap to perfect and there was a water sound as if there was a air lock or something to the engine ::)Any ideas please
