Not personally a fan of the DC10/MD11, but, credit where it's due... it's a tough old bird ;)

The last person you would have been worried about would be a fellow pilot. How dreadful for them, but they did a great job, not least the Captain who planted a vastly overweight A/C safely on the runway while suffering from a head injury. :y

Yes, there was/is a programme about this...Aircrash Investigation. On Sky 526/7.
This video was made using a flight simulator. You can see by the quality of the cockpit, how easy it is to learn to fly, as in terrorist situations.

You should see the new A350-1000 cockpit.
