OOF next few days....

....might be subject to lots of small disconnections,, as I need to mess around with the network, which involves unplugging stuff and many a router restart.  Any outages are liable to be less than 5 mins, but there will be *lots* of them I suspect.

I know, and thats the precise reason I have too many routers in the path, because its scary to touch the working ones ;D

That's it for today, need to do more tomorrow...   ...as the planned temporary replacement router for the utterly thrashed and shagged one kept locking up and watchdog restarting as soon as WAN1's PPPoE session came up. 'dangle berries'.

Suspect config rather than h/w, but I wouldn't expect a config error to crash the damn thing!

Router h/w will be swapped out over the weekend, and no doubt the config I have put on the replacement will have typos and other cockups.

That's it for another few days.

The outage was a bit longer than expected, as there was a config error, and it was routing the return packets back out of the wrong ISP, and took me ages to work out why - I thought I'd got the cables round the wrong way, LOL.

In 2 or 3 weeks, I'll need another outage to sort out the spaghetti of cables, but that will likely wait until the new server hardware is ready :y
