Title: Online Shoping Sites
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 07 April 2021, 22:08:06
Wish, Aliexpress + others that I cant think of the name of.

After the agro and performance of Halforde today and still looking for a hard case for the booster I am buying.

Found an alternative on Wish, but dont know anyone that has ever dealt with them or similar companies.

I've bought countless things on Wish.

95% is utter dog-shit..... but the 5% which is really good value for money more than makes up for it.

It's a brilliant business model.  Everyone who buys from Wish know they may receive something crap...  it's part of the fun.

I use it mainly for buying hose stocking-filler type gifts for people.... stuff which costs a couple of quid, but will add entertainment.  I certainly wouldn't order anything that I had to rely on.

Of course, the vast majority of products are shipped direct from Chy-na.

I've rarely had a problem with Ebay and have only had to go for a refund once which was fairly quick and easy.  :y

Cue the torrent of Ebay tales of woe!  ;D

 ....

Likewise .... my refund was a little more drawn out, but that was due to the seller & not eBay.  :y

Only problem that I have on Ebay itself is sellers who cannot read simple English, usually English :-X, or those who decide that Amazon would be a reliable third party courier service and then decide that waiting two weeks to issue a refund, and then only by force, is acceptable.

My main gripe with buying on line is with PayPal pinging the account for the purchase amount before taking it in a separate transaction, which ties up the original ping for a week when they don't take it. If I could bring myself to have my bank details directly attached to things, I would. But as long as Faceachebook exists and continues to buy up everything else, that's not going to happen.  :-\

My last dispute with egay I'm having to wait the 10 days for seller to respond.

Seein as none of the tracking numbers show its been dispatched, and seller responds in 10 minutes when asking questions from another Ebay account I have, I suspect they will respond at the last possible moment, so they've had my money for best part of a month, with no intention of ever sending it out.

self-abusers. All of them.

I only tried 2 sales on thier site.  Same item.  :-\

1st attept was a total conman.  New member, when sale ended he wanted the laptop delivering so he could earn the money to then pay me for it.  his 1st 4/5 rateings were all negative with carefully written complaints about him.

Re advertised the item, both myself and the buyer were 100% happy.

Put me off completely. :-X
