Sorry Nick, Don’t think they were ever respectable 😁 on the other hand the Morris Marina …….🤣🤣

 The woeful Marina was laughably seen as 'the future' when introduced in 1971......despite the antiquated engineering coming straight from the mid 1950's.

For a long time now I've had a hankering for a morris traveller with a V6, Vauxhall or jag as a bit of a runabout, would make an amusing sleeper.

My Mum had a Morris Minor with an engine from a Austin Healy Sprite and Dolomite Sprint running gear. At least that's what I think it had, but whatever it was definitely a sleeper. The only clue was the slightly fatter wheels.

This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.

Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.

Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍

Looks like yesterday I hit the wrong button on a well known online retailer.  I thought I was getting a pair of DJI Mini 2 batteries, but a paddling pool turned up.  Upon checking my orders, that's what I clicked.

Bugger.

It's your subconscious rejoicing in the fact that summer is coming - sit down, dangle your feet in the nice cool water, enjoy a beer, try not to break anything, the usual routine

You'd think that he'd be rejoicing that something/anything actually turned up!

On our most recent cruise, we heard that some old chap had been taken seriously ill so when we saw the Ambulance in port from our balcony we thought it was him being taken away. There was also an old lady sat crying in her wheelchair on the dock so we assumed it was her husband being taken away. We then heard that the old lady was nothing to do with the old chap, and that she’d been thrown off the cruise ship for being violent towards her own family and other passengers. 

If ever I went on a cruise, knowing my luck, I would be couped up on a floating hotel with people like that.

I contemplated a cruise, but the more I think about it, the more I know its not for me.  I mean, I hate hotels with a passion.  A hotel you can't really escape from all day, every day, is just a prison

Man overboard?

The prat in a newish Land Rover Defender 90 who parked right next to me at Strensham Services on the M5 northbound earlier today, despite the fact I had parked in the middle of acres of empty parking spaces just so that I didn't have to sidle down the gap and perform gymnastic contortions to get in my car! 

One thing did make me smile though..... That Land Rover Defender 90 probably cost the prat £50,000 - £60,000 and he felt the need to use a massive yellow steering wheel lock!      My 16 year old Mondeo worth about £500 is probably harder to nick!

625bhp, rwd on damp roads. What could possibly go wrong?

It does come with 4 driven wheels.

The second Jagaur XFR  I owned had around 600 BHP after Viezu had a play. And rear drive only.

It did shit me up in the wet though.

If I were stupid enough to go for a spin with you, it would end up in a fatality. I'd definitely have a heart attack.

You should go for spin with Rae in his Evo then!      I'm a shadow of my former self....

A spin in a tuned 500BHP Evo driven by Rae would surely see him into the next world.

A bag of boiled sweets, a cup of Ovaltine, and an early night is far more appropriate.

He nearly saw me into the next world!       

If we'd bolted a couple of wings onto the Evo I swear we would have taken off as we tore up that Welsh mountainside!
