The tools are bought, youtube videos bookmarked and MIG welder being re searched.

Could anyone send me a picture of what the front wheel arches should look like on a 2002 Omega so I know what part should and should not be there. Was this just metal with a coating or were they metal with a lining then coating? I am coming across a lot of steel but also a softer peeling material.. which I hope was not metal :(

I am also wondering as a newbie to mechanics if someone could point me in the right direction to understand what the wires and tubes are in this area.

Omega General Help / How much rust is too much rust
« on: 07 July 2021, 19:58:29 »
Been working on my Omega for a while now but I wonder if there is a point where too much rust is too much, I am happy to plod away on this project but I don't want to spend time and money if the rust is so bad that its never going to be drive able and safe.

I will get some pictures when I feel brave enough but after removing the sill plastic covers under the sill is badly rusted to holes and the jack up points are very bad also.

The arches I am comfortable cutting out and using low heat aluminum rods with new metal, fiberglass to repair but under the car i am not so sure.

I really don't want to get rid of her and I do want an Omega in my life.

Hello folks, thanks for the help on here to trouble shoot my cabin blower which works hooked up to direct 12v but in removing the hedgehog I may have ripped out 2 wires and I have no idea where they should go.

1 - a brown wire I have no idea where it goes.. i feel it may be block 5 with the blue and white wire.
2 -the block that came from the hedgehog
3 - a red wire I have no idea where it goes.. i feel it may be block 5 with the blue and white wire.
4 - Not sure what the block 4 wires are
5 - Not sure what the block 5 wires are for
6 - a hose that looks like it was connected to something.
Any help in this would be appreciated as I feel my brute force approach has now caused me more problems.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / 2002 2.6 v6 blowers not working
« on: 19 January 2021, 13:34:14 »
Hello folks, I bought myself a 2002 Omega for a couple hunner quid and doing her up.

One problem I have run into is the blowers display the fan power for a second or 2 then vanish with no blow.

At this moment in time I have the glove box out to look for a hedgehog  :) but with vent pipes and cables in the way I cant see where this little guy is, does anyone have a picture of where its located?
