Exactly, the muddied death rates look worse than they are, which only serves to make them even less statistically relevent.

you seem to be struggling getting your head round the fact  that Chinese virus has killed far more people than the 128 thousand  total deaths reported by the "muddled death rates " the true figure is well north of 160 thousand .

this will include people who died because they couldn't get hospital treatment because hospitals where full  of Covid patients due to late lockdowns and peoples lax attitude to following rules to stop the spread

As for testing, approximately 45 tests for every case.

And l don't know about you, but I was raised to cover my mouth when coughing or sneezing, not to mention washing my hands as appropriate ie after doing or before and after preparing food.

However ,we know that many people DON'T wash their hands etc  and DO touch goods in shops etc
so disinfecting things is a wise move ,even without Chinese virus

My shopping habits are unchanged from 2019. I hate doing it, and spend as little time as possible doing it. That's about my socialising limit...

If i was worried about the environment, then I wouldn't own a car. That said I have fabric masks which are washed and reused and are therefore far more economical than disposable ones, and have no issue wearing one where I am obliged to.

But where alot of people don't bother, or only cover their mouth, then there's no point, because they either don't understand or don't care. And as I said before, those that didn't care before won't care tomorrow.

My views on lockdowns are unchanged from last March.

cheap manufactured face masks like in the video are not made of some super material that kills Covid

it's just a barrier to reduce the wearer spreading virus to others

a T shirt or snood  whatever one of those is  will also provide a barrier , so better than nothing .

the wearer will trap covid and other germs in the mask , but in order for that to happen, the Covid or germs must be exhaled by the wearer anyway ,so the wearer gets their own germs on their mask ,which they can wash . rather than transmitting those germs to other people , which could cause a global pandemic

The death rates are loosely based on infected deaths ie anyone TCV positive at the time of death regardless of actual cause (hit by a bus/falling down the stairs etc)

Indirect deaths are going to be higher because noone has received any meaningful treatment for anything other than TCV since last March, inspite of dedicated centres being built. That's all completely wrong but seems to have been accepted as perfectly reasonable...

If anything going back to normality should mean access to everything, be that consultants/GPs/treatment as much as anything else.

Places that have remained open haven't had significantly higher infection rates than those places where everyone has been shut in isolation... (except that place in China where they were welding doors closed and shooting infected people)

My 'no point' was in reference to the fact that they may as well have not bothered wearing a mask if it doesn't cover their nose AND mouth

the figures will keep on rising until we get more police or other force on the streets and in shops to actually start fining people for breaking the rules. because that cannot happen and because there will always be a poulation of idiots the world will never be covid free.
virtually everyone that i know is doing their bit to help and it does help.masks,washing hands ,distancing etc but as usual its the idiots that dont give a **** letting the rest of us down.
some people have no respect at all these days and it sill only get worse.

I think you'll find they dismantled most of them, although the one at Exeter is being used as a triage centre for cancer and other nasties.
