MFD
« on: 04 August 2012, 18:59:45 »

I once had a '95 Elite on which some pixels had gone awol on the MFD,I bought a new MFD  but as is the way I scrapped the car before I ever fitted it.I've still got the unit. Now I have a F/L car and although the MFD  is perfect I'd like to know if the spare unit will fit.I seem to recall that they were changed at some point, something to do with the plugs on the back being a different colour or some such.So do I keep it as a spare or sack it off on e-bay or similar?

The Facelift takes the type with a single grey plug. Pre 1998 MIDs use the twin yellow/black plugs.

Note, MIDs have to be programmed to the car's spec (engine/gearbox (and wheels/headlights/heaters on grey plug MIDs))
