Interior light stays on too long (SORTED)

In the last couple of days I have noticed that whenever any door is opened, with ignition on or off, the interior light stays on for about 10 seconds before going off. I'm sure it was never this long before.

When I lock the car the light goes out straight away.

Is this abnormal (or am I going senile)? Any suggestions?

Quite normal for me .. been doing that ever since I got the first Omega !!!

Lock the doors or start the engine .. light goes out .. otherwise on for around 10-15 seconds

Unless you've done Hillpers boot mod. then it will just stay on for the 10-15 seconds ;)

Thanks to you both - you've hit the nail on the head Welung - I did Hilpers boot mod about a week ago and only just noticed the light staying on longer when I started up. It's a small price to pay for being able to open the boot with the engine running. :)

Its the bootmod, as you have discovered.

When I have Goldie, I started to make a simple circuit, but then the engine let go before I finished it  :-[
