Indeed.  You should have seen the general public, with numerous children, on the railway tracks during the last years of steam and many branch lines!  To our "modern" eyes, fully conversant in Health & Safety, the scenes are truly frightening with bodies, amazing still alive, standing everywhere around main running lines with steam locomotives moving between them! :o :o :o ;)
