I think i have a few boxes of the 'good' jurid ones surplus to requirements.
They wont take a wear sensor, (bit rivetted on the wrong way around) but apart from that perfect.

If I have Ill chuck them in the sales area next week

Yes please for a set, if there are enough to go around, I know I'll need them one day soon, and still saving up for a proper upgrade.

Sorry for asking. I looked up the pads on Ebay for the Vauxhall Tradeclub GM pads code 9192124, as I am also going to be doing the front discs and pads on my 2002 2.6. When I found them, in the list of models they fit it said that they fitted:-

2.0 [ 1994 to 1999, [X 20 SE], MPI, 1998cc, 116BHP ]
Fitting Position: Front Axle

2.0 [ 1994 to 2000, [20 SE], Injection, 1998cc, 115BHP ]
Fitting Position: Front Axle

My question is what is the difference in between the X20SE and 20SE to the X20XEV model on the brake side, are the X20XEV a different make or size? Just being nosey sorry  ;D

A link to the ones I found
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Vauxhall-Carlton-MK3-Senator-B-MK2-Omega-A-B-Front-Brake-Pad-Set/263411528721

Thanks for the replies on the question.

They are the correct pads for the later Omegas - the B. If they have 'ears' on the edges of the pads where they sit in the calpier, they are for the earlier Omegas - the A, I believe.

The pre face lift 2.0 has smaller discs, 286x24mm, and different calipers hence the different pads.

The 2.0 from '98 (mid facelift) shares the same 296x28mm discs as the rest of the range with the larger pads and calipers.

You can retrofit the later brakes to the earlier cars without issue. This would allow you to use the same front discs/pads as the 2.6 :y

I was sold Pagid front pads which were said to be for my 2.6. The wear sensor holder was the wrong way round, as I had the brakes stripped down I removed the holder and turned it around it has been ok for over a year. The supplier could not tell me how this mistake could happen. Is it a regular occurrence or wrong pads supplied.

Poor quality control or cloned/fake parts ;)

Jimbob recently had some of the pucker 9195077 GM pads available with the same problem. Looks like other manufacturers / suppliers are not infallible to this 'oversight'....

Fake 'genuine' parts aren't a new thing...

I remember an article in Autocar Magazine in the early nineties (remember then?) which suggested that it was possible to build a complete Fiesta from fake 'genuine' parts. And that was long before the internet made it easy for people to sell any old shit as the 'genuine' article...

That's not to suggest that any one is actively buying or selling fake parts, deliberately or unknowingly, just that it is a viable concept that a percentage of things sold are, in fact, hookie. ;)
