A stunning looking car!
Is it still looking as good today?
I only wondered as that is the same photo that you've posted at MOT time for the last few years!! Not being critical of course, just an observation!

Very nice - still! ;D
Being quite large car, I think Omegas suit strong darker colours, such as yours. Only my opinion, as colour is subjective, but your Omega is a real credit to you!

Thanks  :y

I've had her from 6 months old (and a manual  :y) and tried to keep her all original, other than the Opel front grille which I could not resist as stumbled across it one day on Inter-web brand new in GM original parts box !!!!  I prefer the Opel grill, she looks a bit more meaner  >:D ;D

Rest assured, all tucked up in heated garage now for next 12 months. ;D

I think I may have a sticky front N/S caliper (again) as I changed it a good few years ago now and noted inside edge of disk rust marks so I need to investigate.  I fitted new origial GM front Brake and Pad kit (93175466) about 7 years ago, and hardly worn as probably done 5k on them.

Is there a new  direct replacement for new Caplier ? (as a pair of course) which can simply bolt straight on and available new ?  Probably want to keep OEM discs (but would put a new set on anyhow) , so can maintain original alloys ? or can I get a piston and seal refurbishment kit ?

Interested on others experiences and thoughts,

I'll pop wheel off and investigate at weekend,

TIA.

Have you cleaned and lubed the calliper slide pins ? and checked the pads move freely in the guides ?

refurb kits are available including new pistons ,slide pins and bushes etc (these can swell and cause binding if copper slip or other INCORRECT lubrication is used )

It's a wonder the only thing sticking is a caliper. Cars need a good run now and again.

I was going to check slide pins and pads at weekend.  I did them myself, but worth a check.

What is the "Lube of Choice" for the pins ?

;D  She gets a run every couple of weeks  :y so all things warm up and stretch her legs  :D  And then to the Shell Station to top her off with Shell V Power  ;D
