Watched Mrs TB drive into the back of the Battlebus.  I knew I shouldn't have fetched the bloody thing and let in stay on the drive.

Discovered two things about the BMW that I didn't know yesterday...

Firstly it appears not to have a coolant level sensor, and secondly it requires a new radiator due to a crack at the top hose spigot >:(

Still, new replacement is £45 delivered, so not all bad news :D

Watched a mate drill a hole in my rear breather box.  :o Worry not, it is a spare, is off the car, and I asked him to do it  :y

He has rather skillfully tapped the hole, and we now have a machine screw holding the plate on. Intention is, of course to clean it out, then replace my current breather box, while the plenum is off for my major service this weekend.

Looking at the state of this one, which is still clogged after a day soaking in various de-greasers, I can see more elbow grease required!

Took mine for it's MOT and it failed on the 3 items I new it would namely the front nearside wishbone (bush) offside rear shock absorber and the bloody airbag light from when I changed the nearside windows after the local chavs smashed them.

I'm glad there were no nasty surprises. because if it had needed a lot more doing to it then chances are the poor old thing would be making it's final journey to the scrapyard. but my faith in the car has been restored to a point and now i'll see about getting the aircon working and some other little jobs doing before we have another ice age.
