Hi there, Ancientd here, just joined the forum as at 62 I finally bought my first Vauxhall an R plate 2.5 Omega. I have a lot of car and motorbike experience and it's only now in later life I can actually afford to use a garage. I still like to tinker a bit although its more often on motorcycles. I have to admit that I am very pleased the Omega thus far, I also have a 2006 Ford Focus ST 221, which is a very nice car to drive but the Omega is much more comfortable and easier to handle.

Omega General Help / Fitting a new radio
« on: 13 June 2015, 13:15:32 »
I have recently removed the standard Philips radio and have attempted to fit a new Pioneer. Physically the 2 radios are the same size, but, I am unable to fit it properly. I spoke to Vauxhall about it and they advised me that I should be able access the back of the radio and pull the wiring back and out of the way, allowing it to fit properly by removing the glove box. I tried this but found that there is no access at all once the glove box is completely removed. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the radio fully home instead of sticking out proud of the dash by about 20 mm
