General Car Chat / Jensen Viperceptor
« on: 12 March 2013, 21:48:26 »
Saw this car at the Classic Car Show at the NEC recently, my brother and I just looked at each other open-mouthed when we saw it, it is absolutely phenomenal, classic shape yet up-to-the-minute touches and technology. And it's now for sale! Really need to get in the habit of doing the lottery  :)

Any garage worth their salt should be able to fit a second-hand gearbox shouldn't they?  ???

Got to be worth doing if you're getting the car for free  :P

Friend of the missus recently went for a job interview as a teacher - it was going fairly normally until one of the panel brought up a comment she had made on Facebook, and apparently it went downhill fast from there....

If you're stupid enough not to apply the appropriate security measures to your account then you get all you deserve IMHO. I see an awful lot of people slagging off bosses, customers, clients etc on Facebook, despite briefing after briefing about correct use of social media, and it makes me wonder whether anyone's got any common sense left at all  :-X

Just the other day, one of my employees phoned in sick after having a "night on the Stella", she must've forgotten that her boss was one of her 'friends'  ::)

Don't care? Let's hope you or your family never go there on holiday then, or stray outside the safe places when in Florida, or Miami for example. I've got members of my family that have just left to go there working for a year and it concerns me that whenever anything goes wrong in the USA the first thing they reach for is a firearm of some sort  :(

I heard this on the radio this afternoon - now, some might say that Piers, being British and a bit of a smug git, isn't really the ideal person to be heading a campaign against the gun laws in America, but he invited Alex Jones, who started a petition to get Piers deported for his views, to debate the issue on his show. Alex, a radio host and owner of fifty guns, went on a complete and utter lunatic rant against him on his show. Have a look at the video, to see why America will never change....

They got into the car under their own steam without getting paralysed, so they could bloody well get out under their own steam as well  8)

....or they would be getting hurt  8)

Sounds like a wind-up to me. Nobody could be quite as cretinous as this caller. :)

I tend to agree Opti, I had a quick google on it and reading other message boards about 50% of comments say wind up.

I don't think it is, there are more people with this kind of attitude out there than people realise. They don't want to take low-paid jobs because they'd then have to start paying their bills out of it
