The rear suspension on my 2002 3.2 Elite Saloon seems to be Stuck Up, basically its not self levelling and staying in the raised position even when parked, does anyone have any ideas????

Sticking/stuck relief valve on the pump :-\

Or, the arm has come off the trailing arm and suspension travel has knocked the lever up, causing the pump to run continuously as it thinks the car is fully loaded :-\

Would go with the second one first... easy to check with it already raised... Sensor is just to the right of the diff looking forwards :y

Level sensor on drivers side rear suspension tracks the rear ride height and controls the air compressor and relief valve in the front drivers side wheelarch.

Firstly check that the arm on the sensor hasn't become detached.

Take care that the car doesn't drop on you while you are investigating.

Have you read the guide ? How to Test Raise / Lower self levelling suspension

If the arm has come adrift, for the love of God, DO NOT re attach it with the key in the ignition :y

To get it down again, support the car with a jack, to stop the car dropping on you, then release the air connector on the shock body visible above the tyre in the rear wheel arch. Release jack, to drop the car and force the air out, then re fit the airline to keep some air in the bladder and save damage ing the bladders. You may have to jack the car again slightly to gain access to the connector again to re fit.

Why? Will it automatically start lowering and squish our Scotsman?

Yes
...but it's not instant, although obvious safety precautions should be taken. :)
