Maybe I should upload my XJ one.  That's as honest as a cheap watch ;D

But 20+ mpg at LPG prices is more manageable than 24mpg at petrol prices, even current low petrol prices ;)

I'm thicker skinned than that ;D

I would question the sanity of running an Omega at 15mpg though :-\

Mines a 3.2 mv6 auto estate,  I think it’s worth the 15 mpg (and I’m not hanging about mind👍) besides many have questioned my sanity... me being one of them 👍😭. Good job it’s not a prerequisite of omega ownership as I’ve become quite attached to The hungry bast..d👀💀

A few years ago I got 29mpg fetching a starlet glanza turbo home On an A frame to Wales from Lincolnshire with my 24v manual carton witch had 250,000 miles on. I loved that car😟😟 but it rusted away🔥. Although the Evo does just 6 mpg on track so my judgement is clouded a little with the Omega I guess 🙌

I have managed 30mpg from the 3.2 on petrol, but it needs to long run, one motorway, keeping it mostly below 100mph.  So I can full accept people can get decent mpg from them, as it seems most people drive like Miss Daisy.  30mpg on petrol from the 3.0l auto was trivially easy.

I can also accept that people with an X351 style XJ diesel can get 50mpg easily, and almost 60mpg going by the Jag's ridiculously optimistic fuel computer.  I tend to get around 32mpg over a tank in mine.

I suspect my MPG from a NA Merc V8 from 30 years ago, sadly from a time when MB had already turfed out their designers, would be around the 10 - 12mpg mark. I'd expect better from a more modern V8, but still averaging sub 20mpg from a tank. Hence I have avoided getting an M5 or an XFR.

An M5 in budget is nothing more than an expensive garden ornament, which is a shame as they had all the makings of being decent sports saloons :-\

My almost 3 Tonne, 4.4 V8 Range Rover (BMW M62 Engine) does 15mpg on gas, on a run, and 11-12mpg on gas mixed.

At 52p a litre near me, I'm quite happy with that... it's cheaper to run (or at least, the same) as the Omega running on petrol...... :y :y

I think a new set of lpg injectors and a calibration would help my car as they have done over 100.000 miles.

Ouch :o Just looked, and rrp is knocking on £90 each...

I know LPG is half the price of petrol and that mpg is lower than petrol by some margin, but 15mpg is into Solex carb fed 2.8 Cologne V6 driving a 3 speed slushbox territory... Which prompts the question of whether it's correctly set up :-\

Not down my way..  55p a litre :y. It’s probably the way I drive it as it runs very well indeed after James reanimated her  ;D and it’s pretty hilly where I live. Its around 17/18 on a run so not the end of the world :y that would equate to about 24mpg on petrol and I doubt I’ll ever get more than that.

I know it, and used to go there with the Omega if I needed gas while I was there.  Otherwise I always filled up at ASDA Cardiff Gate on the way in and out.  :y

The Saab, which I replaced the 3.2 with, does 25-27mpg, cost the same road tax,and is smaller,  :o :o

I only use petrol... Anything else to power a car is wrong. Just ask The Lord of Lincolnshire :)
