Hello all, I have a message, CD-SAFE, on my display and I can't get the player to work (blaupunkt in boot) is it waiting for a code? any ideas?

Do you have the code ?

Both the radio and the cd need different codes.

They are on a card called the car pass.

radio off, ign on. Press and hold 0 whilst turning on radio until it beeps.  then repeatedly press 1 for first digit, 2 for 2nd etc.  when all 4 are correctly entered, press and hold 0 again.

Still nothing, thanks for the info though. Do you think it needs repair then? It still says CD-Safe. :'( :y

It could be codelocked as a result of an incorrect previous code entry attempt.

leave switched on for two hours (gofor a drive etc) and try code entry again. If that fails, you will need to send it to me to be reset. :y

Yes, as long as the head unit is still working, we just need the changer in the boot.

Full manual decode and reset of CDC2 is £15 + £10 return courier

£25 in total
