Probably not TBH ... if he has brain damage that leaves him unable to live any sort of decent life .....

My thoughts being that if he was OK .. or making a "good" recovery, then it would be announced far more publicly ...

I was trying to not sound too positive, hence the 'I guess'... equally, having been out of it for so long, there's undoubtedly a very long way to go before any service is resumed, let alone normal

Quite an effective way of limiting press intrusion as well.

Hopefully he'll make some sort of recovery

Life deals some awful hands at times. In this case I feel that it is not a good outcome for him needing constant care for even the basics like feeding and communicating. I hope he improves to have some sort life although compared to his adrenalin life style it will fall far short.
