Remote locking
« on: 01 December 2006, 00:46:56 »

is it possible to add an RF key and barrel (with transponder etc...) to an M reg CDX with the infra-red type? just gets on my nerves having to mess about dis-arming the immobiliser, when i could just put the key in (tbh i fancy one of those new flip keys used on audi's etc....) :y

if so, what do i need and how do i do it?
or should i just get an alarm that i can do it with (clifford/Toad etc...)

regards.

I'd imagine that would be a very big job, due to how the RF systems are totally wired into everything.. more so than the infared.. but not too sure tbh, Marks DTM is the one to answer this.

I had a Cobra system on my old Mundano... was actually very good. Also if u went for a 3rd party one like that which was approved it would bring your insurance down.
