Omega General Help / Air Con Pipes

Hi.

I took my car to be regassed at my local garage, one 'phone call later I'm the proud owner of a air con system with a split high pressure pipe. The garage made a call and told me a replacement would be "£180 +". I asked if I found a cheaper one if they would fit it? They agreed, so I bought a used one on ebray, took it to the garage and left them to it. A few hours later a 'phone call tells me that the fitting of the replacement was a bigger than thought of job, including partial engine dismantle and headlamp/bumper removal, thereby sending the labour costs "sky-high".
Does anyone know how much this job should be, or is there a guide to doing it myself  *shudder* ?

Removed radio, removed cartridge, replaced radio, and, all has been quiet for the last two hours. Hopefully this may be the cure * crosses fingers/touches wood/sacrifices virgin, etc.*

Replaced radio, 6-7 mins later on it came. It starts even if turned off before locking the car. *SPOOKY*

Hi.
I have the CCR 2006 with Bose which has developed a new trick. About five minutes after locking the car the radio decides to turn it's self on. Much to the joy of my neighbours who enjoy knocking on my door to tell me. The radio starts on the medium wave and will not change until I turn on the ignition, turn off the radio and then restart it, when it starts on the station I left it on. The fault is so bad that I now have to remove the radio every time I'm parking for a while. (or leave it out and have to talk to the wife )

Please HELP!!

Not to worry, I've just bought some of assorted sizes, hopefully, one of the blighters will fit.

Hi, just a quickie (!!!)

Following the guide I adjusted the bonnet latch, but, on trying to tighten the bolt, it will not tighten it just keeps on turning. I think the bent over springy thingy that the bolt tightens into is knackered. So that I can get a replacement, the question is - what is it called ?

O.K.  there called U clips, so next silly question. What size is the one for this bolt?
