As it was you're original post and it's you're local area how about running a couple of ideas past us in respect of venues,Hayling/Portsmouth/Southampton etc all possibilities but probably most of the guys are like myself not from you're area and therefore unable to pinpoint a location for fixing up a meet. All I know about you're area is Beachlands on Hayling and the car park at Southsea by the funfair so really it's gonna be up to yourself to say where and when as you've got local knowledge. As soon as you decide on a spot and a date I know you'll get a lot of interest and lets face it us townies could do with a nice bit of sea air :-\ :y

Let me scout around local area find good spots and I will post up my opinions see what everyone thinks how bout that will also see weather can get law onside too

What part is snapped? Picture maybe?

Not heard of one snapping  :-\

The cable to the cruise control by throttle has been cut by previous owner I want a new one
Which cable? (ie do you mean the electrical connector or the steel actuator cable that pulls on the throttle lever?)

yeah just need that one the cable and clip at the end

im sure someone will know if wiring is in place on here, mine being a elite already had cruise on it

Shouldn't mine have it being an elite prefacelift

Yup it should, all mini-facelift ones did (post 1998.5 onwards) not sure on pre-mini facelift  :-\

Would have thought so!

Indicator stalk will have buttons on it if it does, else someone might have removed the stalk. Have you checked to see if you have the cruise cable on the plenum?

I've just checked and it's all there the reason I couldn't use it is because my cruise control cable is snapped at plenum end :( im off to buy a new one OOF does it again thanx everyone

thats all good on a fly by wire set up, but still need a 4 pin brake switch and if not auto a clutch pedle switch, if non fly by wire you need the cruise control module that bolts to the os of engine bay below abs unit, wire should be in loom as standard

Mines an auto and its got a cable being a 2.5 v6 elite prefacelift but seems quite a lot more work than was first described but hey ho

Hi peeps just having a browse around vxonline and came across this

[/Quote\] If you want cruise control on your car, all you need to do is seach for "vectra indicator stalk" on ebay, ensure you buy one with the cruise buttons on it (you should pay between £10 and £20) and all you need is a phillips screw driver to undo 5 screws around your steering column cowling, unclip your old indicator stalk from its mount, take off the electrical connector from the rear, put your new one in in reverse and connect up the cruise to the blanked off female socket immediately underneath the upper cowling and replace everything. Total job time is about 10 minutes, costs about £20 max and you got cruise control!!! This mod was done to the SRi 130 Dti model on a 51 plate....should work on others. Check by taking off your cowelling. If you see 2 blue torpedo like electrical connectors, one thats connected and the other thats connected to nithing, it will work for you! Best find of the year by far!! :o)[/Unquote\]

Now is this guy just a complete retard or is he on to something
If this is an option can it be done on my Mig

Admin if in wrong area sorry and please relocate as required :)

swmbo hit  a deer recently, the bumper needed a screw putting in it to hold it back in the wheel arch, the strip of bodywork under the headlight and the washer bottle broke, other than muck no other evidence to suggest what had happened :y......deer did not survive sadly.

Deer for dinner at yours then ha  ;D ;D :D ;D

No, someone else bagged it.... ::) ::) ::)
