General Discussion Area / Jokes seem out of control tonight.
« on: 15 July 2008, 22:33:23 »
Not a kill joy, but cant find the threads for the jokes, though we said we would put 'Joke' or 'NWS' in the title. Not all titles suggest a joke, in fact quite the oposite. :-X

General Discussion Area / GP Surgery rang ME today!!!!!!
« on: 15 July 2008, 22:01:37 »
Had to make an appointment with a particular GP to discuss a letter they have had from a Consultant at the hospital who I recently saw. The heart one, when I was wired up for a week.

All part of some long standing medical issues, currently off work for a different, but possibly linked, problem,  and have to see my usual consultant, again,  in August, he is the one who told me not to go back to work when I saw him last month.

I have a letter from the heart consultant and seems nothing particularly to worry about, so why does the doctor want to see me?  could not get the appointment till Monday morning.

General Discussion Area / Wind up windows
« on: 14 July 2008, 21:49:43 »
Got a courtesy car from the garage today, my Citroen in for 12500 mile service. They gave me a little Citroën  C1, quite a nippy little car, though it had one too many pedals. I had to try and remember what you do with the spongy pedal on the left. :( :( :(

Anyway, I can not remember how long it has been since I used a car, except my old ford Prefect, with wind up windows, what a real pain on a nice sunny day. ::) ::) ::)

Off to the Caravan for the weekend :y

It had previously been suggested that I was going to have to go as well, if nothing else, to connect the bbq to the Caravan gas supply ::), not been used yet this year. :(
I had a mutter, not like me, about the point of going and being stuck inside cos of the weather, so they have left me to it.  :y
Now where is that Whisky........... ;D ;D ;D

>
 Dear Mrs. Murray,
While we thank you for your valued custom and use of the Tesco Loyalty Card, the Manager of our store in Banbury is considering banning you and your family from shopping with us, unless your husband stops his antics.

Below is a list of offences over the past few months all verified by our
 surveillance cameras:

> 1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's
>     trolleys when they weren't looking.
>
> 2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute
>     intervals.
>
> 3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to feminine
>     products aisle.
>
> 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone,
>     'Code 3' in housewares..... and watched what happened.
>
> 5. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
>
> 6. September 15: Set up a tent in the outdoor clothing department and
>     told shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring sausages and a
>    Calor gas stove.
>
> 7. September 23: When the Deputy Manager asked if she could help him, he
>     began to cry and asked, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
>
> 8. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a
>    mirror, picked his nose, and ate it.
>
> 9. November 10: While appearing to be choosing kitchen knives in the
>     Housewares aisle asked an assistant if he knew where the antidepressants
> were.
>
> 10. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously, loudly humming the
>       'Mission Impossible' theme.
>
> 11. December 6: In the kitchenware aisle, practised the 'Madonna look'
>       using different size funnels.
>
> 12. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed, yelled
>       'PICK ME!' 'PICK ME!'
>
> 13. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker,
>       assumed the foetal position and screamed 'NO! NO! It's those voices
> again.'
>
> And; last, but not least:
>
> 14. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited a
> while; then yelled, very loudly, 'There is no toilet paper in here.'
>
> Yours
> sincerely,

« on: 10 July 2008, 14:05:30 »
I know Deb's and Myslf could not get on cos Deb's emailed me. Could not contact anyone else as I do it through the forum so have no email addressess or phone numbers. Wil have to change that.
But, having a very quick glance throgh the forum some people seem to have been posting.
I tried many ways and links to find the forum all to no avail.

General Discussion Area / Searched the house several times
« on: 06 July 2008, 22:15:14 »
And still can't find my car keys, the have the Citroen and Mig keys on, the caravan and the house. Last seen yesterday when little miss Mike f used them to get a teddy out of the car. She first said she gave them to me and then tha she put them in the window seat with her teddy as she went to the loo, they have not been seen since.
Told her that we sould have to cancel her trip, with friends, to the pictures for her birthday treat, but she still had no idea. I am fortunate that I have spare keys for both cars.
There is only the smallest chance that they were stolen, only one visitor yesterday, a young friend of our lads, but had the keys been taken for the cars then they would have gone last night.

Check bins tomorrow then ::) ::) ::)

TB enjoyed a cup of tea this morning in Entwood's pikey waggon, though aparently not impressed at not having his buscuits on a china plate.
TB stated that there is no photographic evidence so he may try to deny it. ;D ;D ;D
