LPG servicing
« on: 28 January 2014, 06:55:36 »

Hi folks

Time to get the above done. Quoted 60 quid by profess gas near Merthr who fitted the system a couple of years ago. Only prob is that they are about 30 miles away.

Just wondering tho. Is this something I could do myself? Guess that apart from checking hoses only real job is changing the filter?

Stag system fitted.

Have a chat with James V6, he's extremely good with LPG. He spent a lot of time and effort on my last mig with LPG getting it to run right. No messing about :y

How many miles has it done on LPG?

I changed my filter after 30 or 40k on LPG, cut the old one open and it was like new, so not sure I'd even bother with that. If it's running OK and the engine ECU is not raising any codes I'd leave it be.

The motogas filters fitted to most members cars should be changed every 10,000 km.
I changed mine a couple of months ago and it was a different car to drive  :)
The car had done approx 15,000 miles.
Depends on how clean the tanks are at your suppliers I suppose :-\

Try these

Okay

Thanks for that everyone. Think I will have a go myself. Car is just a bit funny at idle. Cleaned the breather system a few weeks back which helped a lot but want to cover all bases. Not sure how many miles ago filter was done.

How do I turn off the gas. Is there just a tap on the tank?
