Elite specification.
« on: 13 June 2015, 11:28:00 »

I'm guessing it is not the same across the board.

Can I assume that Elite spec on a Signum is probably somewhere between CD and CDX spec on an Omega?

For example. My new car has heated seats in the front only....unlike an Omega elite.

It has a crappy CD70 sound system and not bose.

Only the drivers seat is electrically operated.

I'm pretty sure it does without cruise control, or at least I couldn't find it.

It does have parking sensors front and rear but even STMO's snot coloured Astra GLS comes with these.

It seems that Vauxhall have been watering down the 'Elite' brand with the passage of time. :-\

Cruise is on a stalk end... indicator iirc :y

Facelift Vec C/Signum had far fewer options compared to launch ones but in the scheme of things left the factory with a better standard spec...

Cd70 has a full colour screen as standard and more speakers than lesser models... rain sensing wipers, auto lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, dual zone digital climate control...

Probably not enough to justify the £30k new price... but not at all shabby as a second hand buy in the scheme of things :y

Agreed.

I don't suppose anyone paid that much unless they were mentally unhinged. :y

I had rain sensing wipers on the Merc and was less than impressed.

They either came on so late the screen was covered with rain.....or they screeched annoyingly across a bone dry screen. I gave them up as a bad job in the end.

Auto lights seemed to work far better.

Was you car an Elite, Henry?

I've heard of this strange thing called the 'travel assistant' but not seen one.

Is there a flap on the floor atop the tunel just infront of the back seat?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-signum-fridge-travel-assistant-/271895269287?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4e388fa7

The travel assistant is big...the rain sensing wipers work very well tbh....the auto lights on the other hand dont

I take it you don't have the flap then :-\ if not, then forget the travel assistant as the fitting kits are NLS and rare as rocking horse poo... ::)
