No wires for puddle lights!
« on: 05 April 2011, 11:49:54 »

I'm in the middle of fitting the leather interior from a 95 Elite into my 99 MV6 and was startled to find that there are no wires for the puddle lights on the door cards!!!

My 98 MV6 has them so WTH happened a year later?!?!

I thought the whole range had them - anyone else had this?

If you Elite an MV6, does that make it an MVee-leet?

is your MV6 ex-police?

Are you also aware of the insurance issues of putting 95 year seats in a 99? - There will be no side airbags or pre-tensioners....

It's not ex-police that I'm aware of - first reg to LEX Vehicle Leasing and serviced by them, has all the MV6 kit.

Don't worry, I don't intend to use the front seats from the 95.  If I can't find a MFL set to match then I'm gonna look at having the cloth MV6 seats re-covered.

The plot thickens....

The rear doors DO have the puddle light wires!!!

I wonder if the fronts have been sacrificed for the airbag unit wiring?

I've got a leather '99 set available if you are interested?

Yes they are - with the drivers seat being memory etc ....  :y

PM me for more details.

BTW, you may find that the puddle light wires didn't make it through the plastic membrane - so it might be worth a look inside and you may find them tucked away somewhere  :y

It's light grey front seats I'm after.

I've followed the whole loom inside the door and the puddle light wires are nowhere to be found!
