General Discussion Area / Re: A question about driving licences

Once he passes the test he becomes a provisional licence holder with a pass certificate.  He should advise the Ins co of his test pass ASAP and not wait till exchange licence is received.

He only becomes a 'full licence holder' when he is actually in possession of the photocard full licence once sent from DVLA.

Once actually in his possession he is then able to use this to supervise or use it to act as a provisional for other groups which a provisional/pass cert combo does not permit.

Hope this helps somewhat....   :)

Dvla used to calculate back tax at 5 1/2 times duty evaded. Excluding fine. Given its 9 years since my last shift I doubt the rate will have reduced any!

People don't tend to argue with me  ::) dunno why, the last one, a couple of years ago well........lets just say it didn't end well for him and he had to take a detour to hospital for about 6 hrs, enroute to custody  :o :o :o

We went to the same training school at a different time!  Cheers chap!! :y

Difference is though, Jason is twice the size of most people ......  ;D

Remember the axeman at one meet Andy?

Style and technique, style and technique....   ;)

Not wanting to pee on the parade but.... ::) with maximum points on his licence and a hefty fine and at least a years ban,I would hazard a guess that he'll just stick two fingers up to due process and carry on driving,so I'm going to settle in Al's court and shoot them as soon as you stop them.....job's a good 'un :y

He may do, but I know where he lives  ;) ;) ;) and I never forget a car  :y

Was it manual or auto?  Shame if he got a leg injury whilst evading lawfull custody.

 ;D
Now, now Broocie. We don't do that kind of thing in England.  ;D

Only in Scotland can we take two positives and create a negative.

Aye, right, it doesn't happen down there.....   ;D

Apparently Whitehall have confirmed the Attackers have entered France from Syria.

Just remind me how many Syrian Migrants are in the EU and surrounding Countries now.

The Greek government have confirmed that a Syrian passport found at the scene belongs to a person who passed through Lesbos as a refugee.  Who'd have thought it, eh?   >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Shocked and stunned, shocked and stunned that such a thing could ever have happened....

There is merit in the Judge Dredd approach but with current limp wristed namby pamby lentil munching PC 20/20 hindsight it's a non starter, in my opinion...   :'(

As anticipated, sadly...

Perhaps current events may (oh, how I detest that word.....) allow things to slow or improve as regards staffing.

Won't hold my breath though.

Perhaps if her gaff were tanned though....   ::)..

Nouse before beemer!  Scrote wouldn't have been faster than a radio trans, assuming another unit near enough or free enough to intercept.

Oh how I miss being part of the anpr team. Happiest few years of my police/Trafpol times. Source of an ample sufficiency of stories told over beer and curry sometimes!

Can't beat a bit of nouse......   :y
