Pure stupidity
« on: 06 April 2015, 23:08:03 »

I still can't believe what happened here today. Some bloke with a 4x4 towing a foreign twin axle caravan, after booking in, came through the security barriers and along past us to his pitch......with his boy of about 10 sitting on the caravan tow hitch !!!!!!!
And he wasn't hanging about. Next thing the site owner came to our van to show us the A4 picture they had printed out from the CCTV. Swmbo said, 'Yeah, we saw him come past, could not believe what we saw'. The owner then went off to find the culprit. Don't know the result but he was not a happy bunny.!!
One bounce from the van and that kid would have been off and more likely dead. >:(

Must be something in the water down there. Came up behind a pikey in a pickup truck towing a bloody great burger van down the A35 tonight. Not a single light on the rear of it.  :o  Tried to alert him to the issue and got 2 fingers waved out of the driver's window. ::)

Nothing wrong with a caravan (Static) home from home............ :y :y

Something that has been a cause of concern, and I did not do it; a certain BMW 4x4 used to carry a couple of kids on the outside, they stood on the running boards and held on to the roof bars...............Miss Vamps told me it was great fun!............... ::) ::)

No- the one I saw was actually a burger van. Ruddy great portacabin on wheels. Would have spoilt someone's day if they'd ploughed into the back of it. Pickup truck had a few old bicycles in the back, and probably a few "dags".  ::)

A friend of mine, delayed on A27 last week from overturned caravan matchwood. I told him it was normal for this time of year, where they don't check tyre condition or pressures as it quicker and easier, but not cheaper to let neglect and physics to take its course. What could possibly go wrong? ::) ::) :o :o

Not allowed to call them 'pikeys' any more as its racist. See the Clarkson  story we must now respect there heritage and  (in) breeding and use the official term
Caravan
Utilizing
Nomadic
Travelling
Sortt.
That's the official EU terminology  :D hope this helps our membership avoid persecution. :y

Continuing with my topic.... :y
Mike...what you said about the kids on running boards has happened here, with terrible results. This site is gravelled throughout on all the access roads, and one kid fell off at speed and ended up cut to smithereens and in Poole hospital.
They really are strict here about such things. Riding with the kids on your lap is banned too. You get one warning if caught. Again brought in, because of a near accident involving child pedestrians.

As a footnote....Mr Wood is always welcome at Wycombe, and as his prestigious nature and kind friendly assistive attitude always prevails, he will continue to receive the first class service he deserves :y
