Confirmed with them lunch time. if there is going to be a large contigent, they have asked if we could park as to "block" each other in, just in case they are still busy, at the back of the car park.
Postcode is;  CM3 2EJ, 1 the street, Hatfield Peveral, Essex. For non sat navers, from Colchester direction, junction 20B, it is immediatly at the top left of the slip road, which is very short. from Chelmsford/London direction, junction 20. At the top of the junction, turn left at the "T". follow the main road all the way through. Just after the mini roundabout, the road bears left to go back over the A12. there is a junction there on the right with a dead end sign. Turn into it and it is the last property on the right, where the no entry signs are. see you there from 1pm.

I will phone them today to confirm we will be attending. look forward to meeting some of you who I havnt met before. I will be bringing Dave Waddington along with me. he is the chairman of ABS for those who dont know him. Also for those who dont know, he had a botched cateract operation done in hostpital that has left him blind in one eye and with no focusable vision in the other. not nice for someone who has a Lotus carlton on the drive and knowing that he will never be able to drive it again. I will post up directions/postcode shortly for those who dont know the area.

General Car Chat / Re: Are these tools available in metric ?
« on: 24 March 2013, 09:34:29 »
Mate of mine picked up a Snap On ratchet at a boot sale a few years ago. Paid £5 for it. It didnt work. He went on the next Snap On van in his area and the bloke said" Its your grandfathers right?" as he fitted a new set of ratchet guts into it. It was stamped 1941 US Army WD. Thats some good "lifetime" service.

General Car Chat / Re: Rust treatment and protector..
« on: 24 March 2013, 09:27:49 »
Rear wiper arm area rust on estates is cured by sanding off the small lower ridge. As the wiper works, it causes the ridge to move very slightly and rub its way through the paint.

General Discussion Area / Fuel prices
« on: 24 March 2013, 09:21:25 »
On my way back from Humbuckers yesterday, I passed a local filling station on the A1101. The unleaded was 163.9 and diesel at 169.9 :o :o :o. I had filled up in Wisbech for the trip back at a BP for 143.9 for diesel. Unbelivable but I would imagine everywhere will be at that price by the end of this year :'(

Do these bolts have a VX part number? I picked up a large asortment of parts last year over at ABS and there was a couple of odd packs of bolts that have yet not been identifyed.
