Opel Manta?  or Ford Capri?  :-\                :)

Maybe this 2.0S Capri is a better comparison than the 2.8i?  :)

Apart from the price that is!  ;D

No contest. Capri everytime.

And I'd have the 2.0S because they're more fun than a V6. The '84 I had is one of just two cars I wish I had never sold.

Yep took my test in my Dad's British Racing Green Marina pickup with no synchromesh between 2nd and 3rd gears, so had to double de clutch changing down!  :)

The examiner said to my driving instructor after my test that I thought I was driving a tractor.  ::)  ;D

He didn't know about the lack of synchromesh and passed me.  :y

My mate's 2.0 EFI one was fun, in an "I wonder which direction it'll go next time I hoof it?" kind of way, but I'm guessing it wasn't one of those...

I like that.
I knew of the European Taunus ..... MKIII Cortina meets MKIV The right hand drive confused me to start with ... Never knew they were sold in SA, but they had some weird variation of our cars in general.
