Thats been common across a lot of industries for the past couple of years.
In the IT industry, we no longer use Master/Slave references in clusters, now its Primary Secondary. Whitelists and Blacklists no longer exist, if favour of Allow Lists and Deny Lists.
To start a rage about it now is 2 years too late.
